Make 17% return for 25 years with Solar Energy and the UK Government   by Robert Gavin

Make 17% return for 25 years with Solar energy and the UK Government
If the UK government offered to pay you £1,000 a year for the next 25 years, in return for an up-front investment from £12,500 and more for Solar Panel systems, you’d snap it up in a second. Well, that’s pretty much the deal after the UK government finally revealed what it will pay those who own generating Solar Panels – in and around their homes – through the new “Feed-in Tariffs” (FITs).

After years of campaigning by environmental groups the government has finally agreed to reward households and businesses installing electricity-generating measures with enough of a return to make it a serious financial, as well as an environmental, investment. Not only that but with prices for energy increasing year on year, this 25 year guaranteed income payments are linked to inflation, so will be increasing year on year.

Announcing the new tariffs’ introduction this week, the energy and climate change secretary Ed Miliband said the guaranteed income would be a big incentive for householders “to make the move to low carbon living”.

“The feed-in tariff will change the way householders and communities think about their future energy needs, making the payback for investment far shorter than in the past.”

This is all well and good if you have a house in the south of the UK, with a south facing roof, a 30-40% incline on the roof and no shading. However for the 98% of people in the UK, their roof if not classed as ’solar perfect’ to benefit from the highest level of electricity generation and income.

BENEFIT FORM THE GOVERNMENT BACKED INCOME EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE A RROF
Fortunately if you live outside of the UK, or do not have a “solar perfect” roof, you can still benefit from this large income, guaranteed by the UK government, by purchasing solar panel systems on other people’s roofs in the south of England whereby they make the savings on their electricity bills, and you benefit from the income.

In other words, it’s a win / win for everyone. Even better, but because you are not limited to just your roof, you can benefit from investing in more than 1 solar panel systems and maximize your return.
An average of 17% return for 25 years aid by the UK government sounds much better than what pensions and banks are giving right now, doesn’t it?for energy increasing year on year, this 25 year guaranteed income payments are linked to inflation, so will be increasing year on year.
